If God can do so much with a little bit of slush,
Tell me, what can He do with a soul?
The world that was gray and black and brown
(Although on these colors I do not frown)
If God can turn it white, yes whiter than down,
Tell me, what can He do to a soul?
Heaven has a way of making things bright,
Greater light by day, and lesser light by night.
Heaven is the source of all purity and light;
Let heaven into your soul.
And see what the Creator, the glorious Emancipator,
Can do for your ever-living soul. –eab, 11/71

A sinner can no more repent and believe without the Holy Spirit’s aid than he can create a world.
By perseverance the snail reached the ark.
Many men owe the grandeur of their lives to their tremendous difficulties.
None are more unjust in their judgments of others than those who have a high opinion of themselves.
You cannot make a sinner into a saint by killing him. He who does not live as a saint here will never live as a saint hereafter.
(The above are purported to be Spurgeon quotes from an internet source without book or page source.)
Charles Haddon Spurgeon was converted to Christ this date (1/6/1850) in England. Thought later known as a Baptist minister his conversion took place in a Methodist chapel.
