God Rules

Wicked men have ruled before,

On this and yon distant shore.

But God o’er rules all affairs,

From atop His golden stairs.

He’s always had the last word,

Not man’s will, often absurd.

So, Friend, look above the strife,

To our “Finisher” of life.
