Private First Class in the stone is cut,
That stone up on the hill,
And the space between the numbers there,
A few years would fill.
And the name is same as I bear;
We were a pair. [1]

[1] Keith R. (Roger) Bryan (born 11/20/1936), my only brother, killed in boot camp May 24, 1954 at Yakima, WA.
I was born April 3, 1954, and am 55 years old, so Keith has been dead over 55 years.
My dad was in the service in Washington in the late 1940’s. He then went into the Korean War. I don’t know why my father was spared, and your brother, Keith, was taken. My dad was a terrible drunkard all his life and was never saved until Dec 10, 1996, so I am grateful the Lord was merciful to spare my father’s life. But, I feel that likely, your brother, Keith, would have been a greater asset to this world. But, Jesus knows best about these things, and I am glad he is all – knowing, so we can trust his judgement. What many things we will learn when we are existing in the world to come! I am interested in hearing these things.
Before this, I have been unable to get on your blog for some reason, but it looks like now I can. Glory be!
Your friend,
