Love those left of you,

                Love those right of you.

One or more make heaven –

                if you don’t love them

you won’t.

Tis a blessing to me and my kin,

To have food, tall pantry and bin,

Our store is thick, not lean nor thin,

For all this I praise you Lord,

Living, Giving, Loving Lord.

It’s good to have clothes and more,

In dresser and behind closet door,

And shoes and boots on scattered floor,

For abundance I thank you Lord,

Great, Gallant and Faithful Lord.

Of far more blessings (by miles not feet),

Is the mate you allowed me to meet,

And four little Bryans to make us complete,

Thou who lovest family, Creative Lord,

My thanks for being a Love-making Lord.

Most of all I’m so grateful to be,

Redeemed and passed through my own Red Sea,

Through “Jordan” you also have guided me,

Redeeming and Sanctifying Lord, my Lord,

You surely deserve all the praise I afford.

Spirit of God, descend upon my heart;
Wean it from earth; through all its pulses move;
Stoop to my weakness, mighty as Thou art;
And make me love Thee as I ought to love.

I ask no dream, no prophet ecstasies,
No sudden rending of the veil of clay,
No angel visitant, no opening skies;
But take the dimness of my soul away.

Teach me to feel that Thou art always nigh;
Teach me the struggles of the soul to bear.
To check the rising doubt, the rebel sigh,
Teach me the patience of unanswered prayer.

Hast Thou not bid me love Thee, God and King?
All, all Thine own, soul, heart and strength and mind.
I see Thy cross; there teach my heart to cling:
O let me seek Thee, and O let me find!

Teach me to love Thee as Thine angels love,
One holy passion filling all my frame;
The kindling of the heaven descended Dove,
My heart an altar, and Thy love the flame.

The  “eab” on all these “poems” and/or “short sayings” (eabits) show their source.

The whole reason for Jesus’ death was Love.  He loved sinners enough to die for them.

Jesus loves an individual sinner

Mar 10.21 Then Jesus beholding him loved HIM, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

            – This man is a sinner – he has not yet taken up his cross –

Gal 2.20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

            – Paul (the human writer) knows that Jesus loved him (gave Himself)

             before Paul was redeemed –

Jesus loves groups of sinners

Luk 15.7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

            – Heaven ma mean more then Jesus but surely includes Him –

Joh 3.16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

            – Christ loved sinners so much He died for them –

Rom 5.8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

            – dying for, surely means He loved us –

 1Jo 4.10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

            – Love is measured by action –

Rev 1.5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.

            – Christ is the One whose blood was shed for sinners –
