4/17 Dag Hammarskjld, [1] former statesman from Sweden, later Secretary General of the U.N. wrote in his journal called “Markings” (1960).  

“Forgiveness breaks the chain of causality because he who forgives you – out of love – takes upon himself the consequences of what you have done.

Forgiveness, therefore, always entails a sacrifice.”

[1] First name I associate with the United Nations.

Lunch – Anyone?


Woodpeckers, knocking for their dinner,

Lions preying for theirs,

Squirrels, literally going nuts,

Colts galloping to their mares,
