The gospels use the expression “Kingdom of God” 54 times with a total of 69 uses in the New Testament (NT).  Christ and His inspired writers wanted us to be aware of a special Sovereignty directly associated with God.

We can be Americans, Canadians, Mexicans (our two nearest neighbors) or any other nationality and belong to God’s Kingdom also provided, we understand that God’s Kingdom is our first and best obligation.

With due respect to the USA (I mean ever word of that – love my country) it is only 236 years old (counting from 1776) or 392 years (counting from the Mayflower).  God’s Kingdom is as old as the NT (using title “Kingdom”) and It’s King is as old as eternity.

America has been blessed with acre upon boundless acre of wheat, corn, hay, and many cows to feed on them and to feed us.  The King of the Kingdom of God fed 1.5-3(?) million Hebrews with manna, fed 5000 with a few loaves and fish, and has a Marriage Supper planned with a “guest list” of Billions (?).  His Kingdom surpasses all states of earth – no comparison.

With due respect, the US covers the middle half (?) third (?) of one continent.  God’s Kingdom covers all of North Am., all of South Am., all of the continents of Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, and Europe.  It covers ever island (large & small) and every man on ocean-going vessels.

Some Americans glory (sadly) in the military might of the US.  The Kingdom of God has more might in just a few thunder/lightning storms or earthquake/tsunami sways than all man has.  And this does not count the destructive power of the words of God.

Thy Kingdom Come Lord!
