Translation Trouble – Mar 16.9-20

NASB has a footnote, “Some of the oldest manuscripts omit from verse 9 through 20.” Don’t let oldest fool you.  These so-called oldest are not the one most accurate to original languages.  They may have survived because of a lack of use – older accurate manuscripts being worn out by constant handling.  See John Burgon’s book, The Last Twelve Verses of the Gospel of Mark. He’s written over 400 pages proving conclusively that this section was in the original manuscripts. His book remains unanswered.
