Some folks live for pizzazz and glitz,

 

For drastic dress and fancy “fits.”

 

Ignoring their interior,

 

Leaving it far inferior,

 

The very place the  sad  soul sits.

Translation Trouble – Psa 12.6-7

 

 

AV “The words of the Lord are pure words… (7) Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”

 

NIV – And the words of the Lord are flawless… (7) O LORD, you will keep us safe and protect us from such people forever.”

 

HOW do revisers get around God’s

promise to preserve His Words?  

The antecedent of them (v7) is Words (v6)

The revisers appear to have created

“us” (out of thin air) allowing them to

ignore God’s “words” promise! 

(They were NOT helping to preserve

His Words.)
