Translation Trouble – MAR 13.14

 

 

AV  “…when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them…flee…”

 

ASV -…when ye see the abomination of desolation standing where he ought not (let him that readeth understand), then let them that are in Judaea flee…             

 

Why omit the most important futuristic

prophet in the OT?  Why leave readers

guessing?  Perhaps some moderns do

not what others to see the accuracy of

Brother Daniel?
