YOU walked into and
out of my dream last night,
Seeing you (dream or no)
is a big delight.
Please, friend, let us BOTH
live holy in His sight,
THEN enjoy God and each other
in endless light.

You can have Full salvation
for Full-blown sin.
If you think your sin is small
– remember, it is HIS “yard stick”
(not yours) HE is using.

Translation Trouble – Mat 19.9
AV “And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery, and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.”
NIV I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery.”
The NIV changes the meaning by turning
“fornication” (pre-marital sex and/or perversion)
into “marital unfaithfulness” (adultery/illicit sexual
relationships after marriage). These are NOT the
same. The NIV also leaves out the last part of the
verse: “and whoso marrieth her which is put away
doth commit adultery.” (Time after time “adultery”
is directly linked to a new “marriage” in the AV.)
Divorce and remarriage are said to be as prevalent
inside the church as out – this is a fairly new
development. Does its increase relate to
“translations” which are easier on this sin?
