ON THIS DATE

William True Sleeper died 9/24/1904, Wellesley, MA. He penned, “Jesus I Come” (1887).

Sleeper attended Phillips-Exeter Academy, University of Vermont, and Andover Theological Seminary. After ordination, he conducted home ministry work in Massachusetts and Maine, pastored Summer Street Congregational Church in Worcester, MA, where he served 30 years.  Sleeper was born 2/9/1819 at Danbury, New Hampshire.
