Sand

Sand.

Salt sand.

Surf-sounded, soft, solid sand.

ON THIS DATE

Noah Webster was born 10/16/1758.  A lawyer, 1st to promote American English as opposed to British (removing “que” replacing it with “ck” in words like check).  His first dictionary was published in January 1806, sold for 30 cents and sold 5000 copies in 9 months.  His 1828 is a classic – SHOULD BE OWNED BY HOME SCHOOLERS.  He died 5/28/1843
