Mr. X or Mrs. Y may be a “good” neighbor, may not cheat on their taxes, may not curse etc. but in order to get a driver’s license they need to study a booklet and pass a test.
Their “goodness” in area “A” “B” or “Q” makes no difference to the licensing company. A test time (death) is coming for us all. God’s Book is available (for instruction). Read It. Heed It.

Oswald Chambers died 11/15/1917 at Cairo, Egypt. Born (July 24, 1874) the son of Scottish Baptist pastor Clarence Chambers, he was converted to Christ after hearing C. H. Spurgeon preach. While studying for the Baptist ministry, Chambers met William Quarrier and from him learned a simplicity of faith and prayer. For three years he worked as a traveling missioner for the Pentecostal League of Prayer (founded by Reader Harris). He then became principal of the League’s Bible Training College at Clapham Common in London. He taught briefly at God’s Bible School, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Chambers died in Egypt after two years of working as a YMCA chaplain among the desert troops. He was a man of mystic faith and intense prayer who taught that the Christian life was to be a victorious one. His most important book is his classic devotional My Utmost for His Highest still in print and available in several languages. All of the published writings of Oswald Chambers come from the sermons and lessons he gave, which his wife, Biddy, took down in shorthand and then transcribed.
