Author “How Great Thou Art” – died

Carl Gustaf Boberg died 1/7/1940, Kalmar, Sweden. He was carpenter’s son and served as a sailor. He was converted to Jesus Christ at 19 and attended a Bible school in Kristinehamm. Later he was a lay preacher for two years and edited a weekly, Sanningsvittnet, (Witness of the Truth) for many years (1890-1916). Bro. Boberg even served in Swedish Parliament (1912-1931). His works include several volumes of poetry & many hymns. We know him as the author of “How Great Thou Art.” Boberg had been born 8/16/1859 at Mönsterås, Sweden.

I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy power throughout the universe displayed:
