ON THIS DATE

This is the date, 1/13/1936, Baylus Benjamin “B B” McKinney wrote words and tune to “Wherever He Leads, I’ll Go.”  B B was born 7/22/1886 at Heflin, Louisiana.  He at­tend­ed Lou­i­si­a­na Coll­ege and South­west­ern Bap­tist Sem­in­a­ry in Ft. Worth.  He taught school, was mu­sic ed­it­or at Rob­ert H Cole­man com­pa­ny, pas­tored in Fort Worth, and in 1935, be­came mu­sic ed­it­or for the Bap­tist Sun­day School Board in Nash­ville, Ten­nes­see.  He died 9/7/1952, Bry­son Ci­ty, NC, in an au­to ac­ci­dent.
