Entertainment (wicked or what is termed “innocent”) is used by satan,
the enemy of our souls, to keep our minds off of Eternity.
Bible reading affords us the time and opportunity to think about death and beyond.

HE MADE

He made the tree on which He hung;
The earth to which it lately clung.
When innocent, it raised leafy arms,
While robins among them lived and sung.

He made the ore from which, by craft,
With forge white-hot and windy draft,
The town blacksmith sledged, with sinewed arms,
Long nails; innocent of greed or graft.

He made the sponge, carelessly raised,
Knew the near pool where it had “grazed,”
Commanding food with tiny arms,
Before beaching innocent and dazed.

He made the sources, rich in ink,
Where artist oft gave his pen drink,
Scrolling with careful, innocent arms:
“The King of the Jews,” making folks think.

He made the men, that unmade Him.

THINK
You see my posts and: 1) yawn/roll your eyes, 2) agree (hit/don’t hit “like” “+1”), 3) disagree so strongly you comment – all within allowable limits of “social media.” Understand – if/when you can – you’re reading after a guy who’s a “born teacher” & spent his life teaching/preaching to help people. Many posts deal with REAL life issues & may make a difference in eternity. Some ideas presented have never been mentioned by your pastor OR not been said in months/yrs. Plus, we’re so used to entertainment, that ideas requiring THOUGHT are almost resented. I would be worse than foolish to dream all of you would agree with all I post but I hope some are willing to think twice before trashing ideas which are NEW to you but are based on living or the Living Word of God.
