LESSER LIGHT

O beautiful, beautiful lesser light;

Made by God the rule the night,

I see thee on thy continuous flight,

Showing the cloud, as a furrow plowed.

Now vapor has hid the wondrous glow,

The obliqueness of the cloud to show,

But slowly conquer o’er the foe,

And light comes down, from thy crown.

May men, like me, always “where and why,”

Missing Parts

This is a world of “missing” parts.

You see a house that’s unfinished, a car missing a headlight rim, a barn has a door gone. Hell is a place where everything good is missing, EVERYTHING. Hell will never get better. Heaven, Oh happiest contrast, has nothing GOOD missing. NOTHING. And it will be impossible (I’d say) to improve on heaven.
