Genesis 3. 6 – 7

“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Keep that Friendship

Hopefully several readers have known an individual (or couple) who were genuine followers of Jesus Christ.  They were people who were holy without being “holier than thou.” They were souls who practiced living right without feeling/showing any wrong attitude. If you have met, or better yet, become acquainted with such human “jewels” cultivate that friendship. Learn from them how to be Born-Anew, how to obey and how to follow the Savior until He leads you away from the world and someday out of it.

Confess

All it takes is one wrong turn,

To cause you to lose your way.

And, it takes but one black sin,

To darken an entire day;

That is, unless you turn back,

The moment you see you’re lost,

That is, unless you confess,

Realizing Christ paid the cost.

He came to save from all sin,

To guide you on the right road.

He came to brighten every life-day,

To lift (as He can) the heavy load.

Picture worth 1000 words? Nay.

“A picture is worth a 1000 words.”

Sounds “innocent” and appears somewhat true (to non-writers). Only this very AM (pardon my slow brain L) did I realize this cliché is a part of the Battle. Jesus is the WORD. The devil uses images: in so-called church, in satanism, in sales, in pornography, in sports, in hollywood, in NASA (last two may not be as far apart as we think).

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image…” (Exo 20.4) includes modern days/modern ways.  The WORD is the Creator. Images are destroyers.  Christ is the world’s greatest Attraction.  The devil knows, even his fellow-fallen angels “believe & tremble” (Jam 2.19) and is uses images (pics, if you like) as distractions.  I beg of you drop images; cleave to the WORD.
