The Word

Genesis 3. 21 – 23

“Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

“And the LORD God said, ‘Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:’

“Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.”

“Merchants pronounce their goods perfect. Music has its perfect cadence and its perfect cord.

Mathematics has its perfect number and grammar its perfect tense.

Why then should not salvation have its perfect love?”

Woman-Up

A friend with many years experience in the building world, Jim Kemp, says, “Putty and paint will make it what it ain’t.” Many women with “powder, dye, and paint” are appearing with fake faces and hair. It will take a lot of humility, but I urge you to stop applying false color to face, lips, eyes, and nails and stop dying your hair. (God knew what He was doing to give your skin and hair the tone He did. 🙂 ) Many of us can see the tint is not you, so the one you’re trying to fool is – – – You.

Woman-Up and stop.

No! Christ is not an annual Babe-in-the-crib. He’s seated on high.

He is interceding NOW for us, Praying, with a sigh,

2

Nor is He a permanent crucifix, Seen only as “the dead.”

He is the church’s ever-living, Eternal, Holy Head!

3

Not even the empty tomb is right, If it’s “that” and nothing more.

He is all John saw on Patmos Isle, Knocking at the door.

4

Christ’s way is not cycles of days, Nor calendars of old.

When repeating rites and rituals, Man “is way too bold.”

5

Man likes the predictable, Wants to know how it will end.

With programs and plans, Ecumenical churches will blend.

6

Repeat, repeat, is not God’s way, He likes variety.

Not one highly formal, Nor one filled with hilarity.

7

This earth has cycles, seasons, Tides rise from the ocean floor.

But man’s soul’s not made for earth – He’s made for another “shore.”

8

Man’s made to grow, not cycle ‘round, Move out, not re-define.

Creation started a parenthesis; Time, on – a – line.

9

Mt. Everest was covered but once, In Noah’s famous Flood.

And then, awesome day, One final shedding of the Lamb’s Blood.

10

Prophets picked up their “telescopes” – Looked through them with smiles,

Time’s line held things far away, Away by centuries and miles.

11

God’s power needs not limited cycles, By small limited man.

Christians, be alert to the Word, Defy a one-church plan.

12

The next great Christian event, Is His Coming in the sky.

“Hello” to the wonderful line of God. And to man’s plan – “Good-bye”!

“Can” Bad News

The media “preaches” the Bad News,

what people seem to want to hear but do not need. God’s men preach the Good News, what people do not seem to want to hear but really need. All the Bad News can lead to depression and gloom. Good News will, if pursued and practiced, lead to heaven’s peace here/now, and then eventually to heaven itself. And few “news” networks are telling us slanted news, if not outright lies (get rid of TV and don’t get all radio/internet news from the same source). God’s wonderful Good News is true and leads to the fountain of Truth, Christ.
