Patches of water appear on the street,

Later patches of sun are at my feet.

It takes degrees of moisture and light

To make things grow just right.

Try not to complain about too much sun,

OR too much rain that makes ditches run,

God uses both on His green plants and, He

Uses both for the good of you and me.

The Bible has explicit tie-ends to earth.

It has a definite geography, fitting perfectly with cartography past and present.

It has authentic history, speaking of the important western empires (some minor ones) across millennia.

The Bible has simple, limited but accurate math (though that word is not there).

The Bible contains some major pillars of science – when It speaks It is more trustworthy than “science” itself.

The Bible has an interesting and wide spectrum of good prose and holds the most loving and lovely poetry in this world.
