Though not born there, I consider Somerset, OH my home town. First from a century old, white, frame farm house and later from a brick veneer Dad was building, I attended Somerset school (10/1950-5/1957). Before you leave the village headed west on US 22 and then at intervals along this once heavily-traveled-road were stone Mile Markers letting you know where you were on your journey. Today Martha and I journey past another of life’s markers – our 55th wedding anniversary. Many couples due to death (or worse, divorce) never make the big “5” “0” let along numbers above it. We are blessed! I graduated from high school May 30th, we married June 30th, and we’ve never been sorry. My Martha is still my best earthly friend.
