You control ritual

You control ritual. You control paper plate, china dish, or earthen ware on which bread is served. You control one silver cup or many small cups in which the wine or grape juice (again, in your control) comes. You cannot control the communion of the soul with God. You control a “mode” of baptism: sprinkling, pouring, submersion and control whether swimming pool, bathtub or country creek. You can not control the when and how of Holy Spirit Baptism. I’m opposed to taking on Jewish, catholic, or other rituals. (Do I not see the above ceremonies may create a hunger for more ritual? Amen? Ouch?)

HEAVEN – HALF PRICE (?)

 

Some live as though it would be nice

To find the sign “Heaven -> ½ price.”

Sadly the idea (if not the sign) does abound

In domestic and foreign religions it is found

Their “arrows” all point horizontally

Promising “this or that” abundantly

The true heaven is Up, my friend.

You’ll know its price right, in-the-end.

Happy, Happy, Happy BD

My wife and I are blessed with four sons:

two by the celebrations of lives and two by the ceremonies of marriages. The last one has a birthday today. (The other s-n-l, Daryl, has his BD the same date as mine, so his is sadly somewhat less remembered 😦 ). Happy, Happy, Happy BD, Phillip D. Dickinson – we are so glad you chose our younger daughter and therefore became an important member of our family. May this year of your life on earth, be the best ever. Blessings!
