Simple pleasures

Have you learned to enjoy the simple pleasures of life? Clouds adrift on the bottom of heaven, the sun setting (or rising) between branches of a neighboring tree, the refreshment of an unexpected cool breeze, the whirl of a humming bird at close range? Oh, there’s much to be said about living attune to God’s little blessings. Try it. You WILL like it :).

SOUL FLIGHT

Redeemed man will soon take his sole, soul flight,
To marvelous heaven, that’s out of sight,
Where there is constant day – never a night,
Because Christ Himself, is its Regal Light.
Want to go to the heaven beyond the blue?
You can go, it was made for you, and you.
Souls from every tribe, and tongue, old and new,
Men from continents and all the isles too,
May be freed from sin in Jesus’ Blood’s might,
Turn from all wrong, turned to always do right,
Never again to curse, lie, kill or fight.
God also wants to remove carnal blight.
Interested? But your haven’t a clue?
Read the Bible. It will show the way through.

We have much more worldliness than Wordsworth
Posted in uncategorized, tagged We have much more worldliness than Wordsworth on September 8, 2016| Leave a Comment »
“The world is with too much us late and soon”
was penned by a man who knew nothing of music “piped into” elevator, restaurant, and home. How much more of the world we have than Wordsworth had. Please, Christian absent from your lives the multitude of “Show Tunes,” songs from worldly “Musicals,” and “themes” from movies. In their place, place the power of the Grand Old Hymns which will help you in the hour of temptation and may make it into eternity intact.
(If earthly hymns are in heaven, we moderns will need to learn hymns from the many past Christian centuries.)
