Mat 10. 26b – 28

“…there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

“What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Paul Finch quote

“As doors seem to open and then close all along the great “hallway” of this existence in distracting and beckoning succession, only the ones that the nail-scared hand of Christ with His entering gesture will lead to both present grace and ultimate glory.”

It is God’s truth

Stand for truth without apology – – – But also without an “attitude”!

After all it is not your truth, its God’s; you are simply His messenger.

At times – who can but honestly admit the stage?

The family altar would be calm and dry.

No quiver filled the voice, no moisture trimmed the eye.

Yon Ancient History stayed just that – flat as the page.

Distant battles were read, but did not seem to rage.

Light, the soul of poetry, was not freshly lit.

Finally – devotions closed. They closed with a sigh.

Ah, but those other nights – precious, dear other nights,

In moments for which no dad or moma prepares;

A son leading out in prayer, thanks God for his stairs.

Verses once seen but darkly, take on brighter lights,

God illuminates truth which once held no delights.

His Word will not return to Him void,

He, Himself, so solemnly declares.

Fear not them

The enemy of what we believe

can be basically ignored if he is politically weak, financially poor, or feels his time is not ripe for expansion. When one or all change, trouble lies ahead. We seem to be entering a new stage.
