1Co 10. 13

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:

but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able;

but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

Move UP

“Move on” is thought good advice by some, and if, IF you make it straight on, may work. The devil will try to veer your life from straight to left or right. (Which direction makes little difference as the book, “We Thought We Heard the Angels Sing” shows.) Allow me to change “move on” to “move up.” Begin, with Christ, to live above that old life. “Impossible.” If you mean in yourself, I agree. However, Jesus said, “…With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible” (Mat 19.26).

The Great Gift

The great gift is not the sun rising to bless the sea,

The great gift is not wild geese swift in their sky-high vee,

The great gift is not thunder, clapping on canyon wall,

The great gift is not sequoia sentinelly tall,

The great gift is not sands shaped by winds, hurrying home,

The great gift is not barnyard fowl crowing, nor his comb,

The great gift is not speech, as great as free speech may be.

The greater gift is the God-like will, willing to be free.

Don’t make God prick your conscience more than once

on the same point. 1.) Though He is admirably patience, He may (probably will) stop. 2.) The second prick may be less sharp. If a third prick even comes, it may be so light as to almost seem not there. Here Friend is huge *Danger.* “But So-n-so can do it and is OK.” First – you do not know if their conscience is clear or not. Second – God, who knows your weaknesses (and strengths) as no man ever can, may see that So-n-so does not need to abstain on “said point” but you do. And, Yes, praise God, He cares that much about you as an Individual.

Listen and Obey!
