Your religion vs Christ’s Salvation

If your religion doesn’t line up with the Bible it is just that – your religion. It is not Christ’s Salvation. Man’s religions will not stand in God’s great Judgment Day. “A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened” (Dan 7.10).

NOT ONE THERE

Heaven holds not one hypocrite
Searched high and low
Sadly, so sadly for their souls,
They all went below.
Be true to God, be true to men
Men on every shelf
And – – – as importantly,
Be true to yourself!

Let the saw do the work

Clyde D. Bryan (February ’04 – Dec ’76), Dad, said
“Let the saw do the work” speaking of a handsaw. (I do not recall him owning a circular saw and I didn’t, till nearly a decade after his death.) He was referring to a sharp saw and meant pull/push it, allowing it to “eat” its way through the board; do not bear down too hard. As I was sawing this AM I remembered Dad’s admonition. Does this apply also to ministers? Do not bear down too hard?
Have a well prepared sermon (sharp); let God use it and His Sharp Word to do His work. He will bring that soul to Him in HIS time.
