No hero worship

We tend to respect older men by virtue of their age.   We tend to respect peers for their friendship and likeableness. We tend to respect younger men because of their degree or a book they’ve authored. None of this respect may be wrong, but it should stay miles away from “hero worship.”

He will guide you into all truth…

My late friend, the humorous, intellectual, Sam Lindahl,

began giving away his library toward the end of his life. Our small house does not permit me to grow my library larger. In this morning’s wee hours the Lord reminded me that the Holy Spirit (I say this with utmost reverence) is a wonderful “library source.” Joh 16.13 “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth…”
