Look things over

Advice for a young man seeking a wife – before you “pop the question” BY ALL MEANS visit her home (later drop-in when they’re not expecting you.) Its cleanness/neatness (not the same thing) or lack of these is what she’s used to and may duplicate for you. Take a look at her mom – that’s the size she may be in 20 yrs (may not take that long). Watch her relationship with her dad (her present authority figure) – she may treat you similarly. Observe her attitude toward her pastor, church, and spiritual things. I wish you well!

BOOKS – ONE BOOK

Books are made of mere paper,

Grammatically smeared with ink.

They can be destroyed by fire,

Or by water, one might think.

But there is a Book whose words

Transcending cover and page

Will survive all catastrophe,

Outlasting the latest age.

Isaiah was my teacher this AM.

In devotions I read Isa 23.17, he says “…with all the kingdoms of the world, upon the face of the earth.” Here’s how I understand this 1.) Earth is the physical soil/rock beneath us. 2.) World is made up of people/people activity upon this soil. 1.) Earth can be thought of as tangible. 2.) World as more non-tangible. 1). Earth may compare to the brain a surgeon sees. 2.) World may compare to the mind, operating within the brain but non-visible. “God so loved the world…” I’ve used earth/world too interchangeably but of late have been interested in the difference.

Thank you, Bro. Isaiah.
