Addendum – RAISED GARDEN BEDS. I suggested ways to fill a 2’ high bed but failed to say you do NOT want the dirt level with the top. After I have a bed ready in the spring I remove a full shovel of the dirt (can use it for a dike to hold the water later) and in the hole I place black soil which my new plant will reach first. Also the spring of the 2nd yr you’ll need to work up the ground (turning it with a spade, potato fork, hoe) and if too full, it will spill out wasting soil. Raised beds are a pleasure, up where they are easier to work, they need less water, and it’s “almost” 🙂 fun to reach over and pull that weed. Almost.

Not best actor

Our “make-believe world” loves its own falseness. And, it doesn’t want you to be disturbed by truth. If/when you disturb IT with truth expect opposition and maybe worse. Jesus said, “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved” (Mar 13.13). God at the end of life will NOT be passing out “best actor awards.” Acting is just that – false. The Father will judge us by our words and actions – the real you and me.

Find Truth

You may seek mushrooms in the spring

And not find a fungal thing.

You may hunt a deer in the fall

And find nothing, nothing at all.

You may look for gold up many a stony creek

And sadly, not find what you seek.

But if truth is truly your goal

Truth WILL be found by the seeking soul.

You have a friend who is changing spiritually.

Whether he/she admits it or not, it is obvious to you. What do you do? Pray for him/her. If/when the Spirit leads, counsel with him/her. But do not change with them. If he/she sees their drift and wants to return you may be the very anchor they need. Conversely if/when he/she admits they’ve changed and brags about it, be limited in your time with him/her. They are very near, if not in, the super sad condition called

apostasy.
