Do not lie to yourself

Honest people are humble people and – – – humble souls are honest souls. As humility is the opposite of pride so honesty is the opposite of lying. Therefore prideful people tend to be lying to themselves, if no one else – lying to yourself is still lying. “…When he [the devil] speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it” (Joh 8.44)

AWAY

Creatures of time for a moment,

Creatures of eternity for aye,

Living once and so briefly,

Love Truth – hate lies

For you to go to heaven you need to NOW

start / speed-up, your ability to tell Truth from fiction. Become aware / more aware, of lies (religious, political, educational, financial) and become more and more repulsed by all of them. AND become aware of Truth. Love Truth. Christ said “…I am the way, the truth, and the life…” (Joh 14.6b). The devil is a liar; he is in the process of deceiving “…the whole world…” (Rev 12.9).

Friend, he’ll deceive you if you are a part of the world.

Please Pray

Great Thanksgiving Dinner. Please PRAY for our daughter as she (& “crew” 🙂 ) prepares today and serves tomorrow. Her husband and she, God willing, will have some of his university students into their home for American’s greatest Holiday. My wife/I were part of another era of Thanksgiving Dinners when 1000’s were fed at God’s Bible School. I see a little comparison. The past guests were many, youngsters, and returned to the basin and beyond. These guests are few but adults and will return to their foreign, non-christian cultures. The number of past kids who blessed Cincy is unknown. One or more of tomorrow’s guests could have a huge impact for Christ in one or more lands beyond the sea. Pray as they feed body, mind, and perhaps souls.
