A grandson stayed with my wife and me overnight last week. He made history in our house. He was the first, solo grandchild to over-night with us – ever. It was nice to have you come Drew, nice to have your help on Saturday, and nice we could visit the local cattle auction that PM. (“Cattle” is a broad term as we saw a horse or two, goats, and pigs before the cattle came in the ring.) Due to our children’s scattered homes, kids ages/personalities, and/or other situations we’ve not enjoyed until now what many of you have. Not complaining but now grateful for this visit. Thanks also for making the delivery to Cincy.

TIME – AN ODD THING

If you think you have answers sublime,
Tell me, What is this thing called time?
The coming expected “big deal”
Seemed, before, a “century away”
Is now past, its distance surreally unreal
What happened to that day?

Guard against TOO much Christmas

Over two decades ago I noticed “christmas”
had a hold on an adult. Now its tentacles clutch more adults. If (that’s a huge IF) Christ was born in December, His birth was a MIRACLE. The devil’s played up a winter holiday, associating it with Magic (his fake switch for Miracle). Thinking-Christian do NOT push santa on their child; even without this substitute for Jesus (“he knows if you’ve good or bad”) we must guard against the Day, Decorations, Duplicity being more about us/our house/our church than about The Savior of the World. Christ came; Christ arose from the dead, but satan tries to hide both world-changing events. Harken.
