GOD CAME, THAT’S A FACT! (card)
Ages now past, when the earth was yet young,
Before bard had rhymed or soloist sung,
While first fruits were freshly ripening gold,
And Adam was getting to know his Eve;
Lucifer came, the world’s first malcontent.
Fellowship with God was severely rent.
Woman, man, believed the lie satan told.
2
Centuries have followed in each other’s ruts.
Clans and tribes have hated each other’s guts.
Swords have evolved to bombs in all their might;
Man has had unimaginable loss.
Why the trials, the pain, the unholy tears?
Why this multitude of yet spoken fears?
Because satan still lies about his fight!
3
Satan deceives, more-than-ever, worldwide.
He lies about what Christ did/does provide.
Claims magic, cultish rites the soul can save.
“saviors” lead dogmatists and pagans both
Away from Calvary, so awesomely won,
And God’s ONE way, Jesus, the Holy Son;
4
Deceiving them, all-the-way-to-the-grave.
And THIS season, does it escape the frauds?
Christ is shadowed; a “fat jolly” gets lauds.
Schools–strongholds of truth(?)–cannot praise the King
(What did God “do” to get kicked-out of school?)
(Why does Jesus receive such deep dislike?)
(Has chance made “satan,” “santa” so alike?)
In elves they believe–of Rudolph, they sing.
5
Don’t be deceived; false unity and creeds
Save not, nor balancing good and bad deeds.
The Incarnation. That’s God’s greatest act!
God Came. (No sham here; for God cannot lie.)
That eternal truth let Christmas PROCLAIM.
Let’s our Lord’s redemptive birthday reclaim.
Christ came; Came to save us. And–THAT’S A FACT!
