The Bible is the most “classy read” in the world.  No man can consider himself educated who has not read the Bible through.  It matters not that he holds MD, PhD degrees, multiples of these, or has been a Fellow at “x” university – if he has not had the Discipline and Wisdom to read the greatest Book of all time, he is not yet educated. Friend, why are YOU not reading the Bible? Everyday? Eh?

You opposed divorce/remarriage –

would’ve called it wrong and sited verses supporting your claim. Did something change? Well, your son and his forever-promised wife split-up and he’s “dating.” Or a daughter’s good-for-nothing-husband’s been caught in another’s bed and your daughter thinks she’s “entitled” to re-marry. Scripture didn’t change – your family involvement changed. Will you stand with the never-changing Book or allow “heart” (emotions are dangerous) to override God’s Word? Be VERY careful. 40 yrs of loneliness looks Terrible (I truly mean that word) and “forever,” looking ahead.

40 yrs reviewed on a death bed, will seem short and IS short compared to mighty eternity.
