God allows us to lie, i.e. He doesn’t strike us dead every time for lying. He allows us to believe a lie. Perhaps the most serious thing is He allows us to believe it when we lie to ourselves.

Our understanding of Heaven is colored

by earthly experience (after all, this is all we know). And, our view of Hell is also tempered by a limited knowledge of fire, thirst, memory, etc. I believe that what I believe about both is Biblical – I strive that it be. That said, I freely acknowledge that Heaven will, with little doubt, far exceed my imagination and likewise acknowledge that Hell is probably way beyond my power to comprehend. Friend, may WE meet on Heaven’s happy streets. “It will be worth it all…”
