“If I were obliged to leave off preaching and other duties there is no office I would rather have than that of school teacher.”

Few men can balance spirituality and politics. That would be BOTH in the church/denomination and in the statehouse/WDC. Can they be a Christian and deep into politics? Perhaps – (only God knows). Can they be deep into God and His word and have an interest in politics? I believe so, but few can go very deeply into both successfully. Compromise is a key word with political men. It is not a key word with the Holy Trinity.

You can paint your car any color
Preferably one not showing dirt
Your pickup’s color may reveal
If you should wear pants or a skirt.
But only two colors on tractors
Should ever, ever be seen:
Big bright yellow wheels and
A body that’s new-grass green.

Please stop being technical with God

“Christian teenagers” – not teens who love Jesus but “christian gown ups” with teenage mentalities.
I once was a teen (sometime after Columbus sailed), I helped raise 4 teenagers, and have taught many a high-schooler. When you tell a teen something they don’t want to hear, they may counter with a technical question. Some have (like a teen) asked, “How long is long?” If a lady leaves her hair uncut she’s safe on the length question. “My hair’s longer than my husband’s so it’s long.” Your false idea taken to a logical end means if his head is shaved you can wear yours one inch.
Please stop being technical with God – Soon.
