When asked, “So…you really expect that you will make an impression on the idolatry of the great Chinese empire?” Morris relied, “No sir, I expect God will.”

Keep Those Hymnbooks!

Use all your influence to retain the hymnbooks in your church. Hymn upon hymn was written when the writer’s life was between “a rock & a hard place.” In some songs God gave the author music with his “inspired” words (not inspired as God did the Bible but he/she was led by the Holy Spirit). Other poets penned words and months/yrs went by before someone else matched them to music. There’s a lot of theology in classic hymns (no wonder satan has tried to steal them from us) and for many of us hymn singing is second only to the preaching of God’s Word.

One ? Two ?

Melchizedek into his culture steered
Full-grown man, complete with beard,
Yet no parentage, no ancestor appeared.
And – he departed as mysteriously,
No son, no daughter, no offspring to see.
One later was labeled after his order,
But He was born – had an earthly mother.
His Father? He was the Ancient of Days.
(Worthy now and forever of our high praise.)
Both were most unusual – – – or were they One?
One pre-incarnate? and the Other a born Son?

Be at-one-with God

The older I get the more I appreciate individualism.
God made each of us unique. He’s perfectly OK with you being holy but “you.” As the most wonderful, powerful Being in existence, He’s not strained by our personalities. The devil and his “social planners” don’t like individualism – they can’t control it. Socialism is about control: “don’t think for yourself.” Be wary of men who are Piping and insisting that you march. Social movements (from unions, political parties, and secret orders, to country clubs, accrediting associations, and denominations) seek uniformity.
No. Instead be at-one-with God.
