Gal 5. 19 – 21a

“Now the works of the flesh are…these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

“Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

“Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like…”

“His [Mahomet’s] law was artfully and marvelously adapted to the corrupt nature of man…the articles of faith… were few in number and extremely simple; and the duties…nor such as were incompatible with the empire of appetites and passions.”

OUR Father

As Christians, i.e. true believers, we have the same Father, regardless of race, language, color, geography, or being male or female. When we “brag” on the Triune God we’re all praising our Father. The only ones offended by Laud for our Lord are those who have a different father, i.e. satan. The devil doesn’t want God to be glorified – that, brother/sister, is all the more reason we should honor our Father. There’s literally nothing, repeat NOTHING, God can’t do, except where He’s limited Himself. He is OUR Father!

HE IS THE PRESENT

It pleases me a great deal

That my Father always was.

Never did a-n-y  man see

Half what our God a-l-w-a-y-s  does.

Crank up your Imagination;

Ride it back as far as you can.

God was there; there in majesty,

With His Glory, His Power, His Plan.

2

And I like it oh, so well

That His kingdom is to come.

It’ll outlive dirty earth

And man’s mansion and man’s slum.

He’ll be (pardon the expression)

There in all the future we see,

King and Conqueror throughout the

Limitless scenes of Eternity.

3

But past, future would be lame,

Incomplete, lacking some how,

If He weren’t the great “I Am”

The glorious God of “Now.”

His Presence makes up the present,

Makes it a pleasant time to live.

Thank You for always being here;

And for the daily gifts that You give.

What’s with the ring?

Some will immediately go defensive – hold on; are you WILLING to think? Why do you wear a ring? Does it keep you from flirting? Does it keep others from flirting with you? Have you seen a friend flirt with a ring on? Can it be removed so others won’t “know” you’re married? Do you really believe all women with a ring are married and none “hiding” a pregnant stomach behind it? Do you need it to help you remember you’re “hitched”? Do you wear it because “culture demands” it?

God gave me a good memory; in 55 yrs. I never forgot I was married. Didn’t need a ring; you don’t NEED one either.
