Joh 14. 9

“Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?”

We have no idea what time yet holds for us. Let alone what eternity holds. Our only hope of “getting a handle” on time and on eternity is a careful reading of the ageless, classic Bible.

– eab, 8/14/16

You have a possibility that satan (as powerful as he is) does not have. You, by God’s great grace, can go to heaven. The devil, once in heaven, can never ever re-enter. (Hallelujah! 🙂 ) And he, try/tempt as he may, can NOT stop you from going to heaven. (Please dis-please the devil Today, Tomorrow, To eternity.)

“The LORD is our Judge” and He’s always right

“The LORD is our Lawgiver;” laws of comfort, not fright

“The LORD is our King” – He is absolute King

Absolute joyfulness His decisions soon bring

“He will save us,” guiding from darkness into light.

Tonight (10:10), 2/26/12, My wife, our daughter Laura,

& I sang part of this to Mom, as she crossed lines of worlds.

It will be worth it all – by Esther Kerr Rusthoi

1.) Ofttimes the day seems long, our trials hard to bear,   We’re tempted to complain, to murmur and despair; But Christ will soon appear to catch His Bride away,   All tears forever over in God’s eternal day.

Chorus: It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,   Life’s trials will seem so small when we see Christ; One glimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,   So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

Ruth Evelyn Bryan was born 7/6/07 so lived to be 104 yrs., 7 mo. & 20 days. Mom was the last of six girls born to Andrew Barton Colwell and Venus Dominie Snyder. She was followed five yrs later by my favorite uncle, John.

She believed the truth of this song. So do my wife and I. Laura believes it also. I’m so glad she was there and as she is the most like “Grandma” of my kids and the grandkids it was fitting that she was with us.

2.) Sometimes the sky looks dark with not a ray of light,   We’re tossed and driven on, no human help in sight; But there is one in heav’n who knows our deepest care,   Let Jesus solve your problem, just go to Him in pray’r. [Chorus]

Mom had Trials.1) She could not finish high school due to sickness and helping her grandma. 2) Dad left Mom, married another woman, but when left her & God took him back, she (what a big heart) took Dad back too. 3) She saw her older son, only 17, come back in a box from boot camp. 4) She outlived Dad & both my sisters. I thank God for a Mom (she was always “Mom” to me) who loved God, prayed for & gave to missions, & lived for THIS TIME.

3.) Life’s day will soon be o’er, all storms forever past,   We’ll cross the great divide to glory, safe at last; We’ll share the joys of heav’n – a harp, a home, a crown,   The tempter will be banished, we’ll lay our burden down.

Many souls have known a better day spiritually. There was a day as a pre-teen they knew all was well. Or there was a point as a teen they yielded everything to the Master. While in Bible college they had or strongly yearned for a holy heart. Heaven was near – satan was a recognized foe. But, alas, that is distant. Worldliness grew, ideals got murky, and today they’re not sure where they stand; they know they don’t want to die like they are.

Has this described you, dear friend? Go back to what you know is right, Tonight!

The degree behind your name

Merely adds to your shame

If you’re believe satan’s lies, one or all.

He lied to mother Eve

And Adam right at her “sleeve.”

Sin began – they started man’s prime fall.

Deception still prevails

On women; more so on males;

Delusion pervades our college halls.

The higher the degree

The more danger it’s about “me”

The educated lie so blithely calls.

Please, Dr. So-n-So, awake;

Your ever-living soul’s at stake

If satan does laugh, you are his glee.

God is the source of truth;

Return to the God of your youth.

Deception has an ever-lasting fee.

Don’t like Truth? You’re allowed to reject it – temporarily.

You can quietly ignore Truth. Or you can protest Truth. You can say loud, hot words opposing Truth. If so inclined (& blind) you may devote a life-time trying to disprove Truth. God may allow such folly if you insist. But the day approaches when Truth will win. All your educated words and all your life-effort will close with deep frustration. STOP. Allow Jesus Christ to forgive and remove your opposition.

Then, when Truth wins, you’ll be on the His side.
