Never heard anyone say

I’ve never heard anyone near death say, “I wish I’d not been so everlastingly thankful! I was always thanking my kid brother or my older sister for something.” Nor have I heard, “How much time I wasted writing those ‘Thank You Notes’ and how many stamps I spent sending them out.” Nor have I heard “I thanked the Lord Way. Too. Much. – probably thanked Him 50% too often.”

STAR LIGHT

 

I looked around at the sky tonight,

At the time just before the dark.

I looked to see the stars bright;

They always thrill my heart.

I looked but the sky was bare.

It seemed I looked in vain;

As if there were no stars up there,

At least none that were plain.

But then – What I “seeked,”

A pin-hole in the sky.

As if you had a bucket that leaked,

And were searching the reason why.

And then, close, another light appeared,

Couldn’t be far.

Two, to light the night;

The duty of a star.

There must be many more out;

Now, the sky must be ablaze.

As these silently “shout,”

Greatest Classic AV

The men who’ve “agreed to disagree”

with the Authorized Version are an assorted bunch. Some hate It because they feel It has gotten too much respect (may even call it “worship”). Some dislike the “archaic” words the AV uses (note: with some words, those men are the ones defining “archaic”). In more careful circles some refuse to use this Great Classic (no book in the world is a greater Classic) because it has so many “mistakes” – again “mistakes” would be as defined by these “enlightened” men. Perhaps the largest number of AV rejecters comes from the extreme left. They see the glory the AV has brought to God and the great value It has been to millions of converts and these actions make their carnal hearts unhappy.
