Mat 6. 24
“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other;
or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

“Money rivals God. Men turn away from Him that they may become rich
because they believe that money will do more for them than God ever can.”

Preferences need References

A well-placed and well-told story can be valuable as an illustration of important truth. But story after story can show either a low regard for Gospel truth, or a shallow grasp if it.

Having Preferences and having supportive References (in context) are two distinctly different things. Don’t twist the Bible to your preferences but allow the Bible to un-twist you so you align with Its eternal Truth.

There once was a big guy in Gath
Who was filled with Philistine wrath
The Jews had a son of their own
An expert in slingshot and stone
Goliath soon died on the path. 1Sa 17.49

Six – Day Creation

“Science” is in the Bible twice:
a wicked nation, Babylon, had a distinct interest in it (Dan 1.4) & Paul, the most highly educated man in the NT (Jesus was not educated, per se) warned his adopted son about “…profane & vain babblings and oppositions of science falsely so called” (1Ti 6.20). Both references are negative. Secular & “christian” schools have put a degree of emphasis on it.
Thank God for the boldness of Dr Henry Morris’s stand (was privileged hear him in person) & Ken Ham for a literal 6-day creation.

in regard to any action is an idolater.”
