Sports = god

People have been fooled into thinking sports are “for them” – some kind of good. In reality, sports are addictive therefore are BAD. Older men show the next generation how to “play” getting them addicted to the DRUG of games & play-offs. Sports keep some pre-occupied till they hardly care Who made the world or how or when. “Give me my next fix” – my next ball game. They’re playing their way to hell; addicted by sports perhaps more similar to porn than they would admit.

Out of Debt

You don’t have to live under a constant burden of debt. “I do if I’m going to have what a want!” Shorten your Want List. Decrease your cravings. Some sales “pitch” inflated your desires. Be man enough, be woman enough to DEFLATE your desires. Place the 4Ls in your life. 4Ls = Learn to Like Living on Less. To be always in debt is a form of slavery. Kick it.

ONE SMALL THING

The wart on the nose may change the pose

From bride to forgotten friend.

A night of “fun” ending with the sun

Could land you in the pen.

One careless match on dry thatch

Will turn the whole place to chars.

It is a fact, the small thought or act,

May spell destinies beyond the stars.

Death is coming

You’re one of a trio

of friends; #3 dies. You & #2 are sad, console each other about So-n-So, & act as if death is an unusual thing. In reality, alongside birth, death is THE most common, world-wide phenomena. We ignore it when it’s far away (unless many die at the same time) or it’s someone we don’t know. (This is not all heartless – God did not “build us” to live in constant mourning.) But when death takes a close friend or invades family we bristle “How could this be?” forgetting all have an “appointment” with this enemy. Friend, I urge your heart (& mine), prepare for death’s inevitable knock.

It’s coming.
