The path of prayer begins upon the flats of earth
– easily prayed, spontaneously given. As one strolls along (prayer is one way he progresses) the flats (mud flats, flood plains) give way to a slight roll, a small swell of ground (you are gaining). Enjoy the elevation (though slight). Continued praying should lead one up to minor hills, not really inspiring but a little above the rolling land of yester year. The prayer power-path progresses on and up – up and on, into higher ground. This higher ground is only found by the progressive prayer, the petitioner with power. Low hills eventually give way to hills of greater heights, of higher delights, new and unexplored. The path of prayer leads, for the patient pray-er on and up. There are real hills ahead. There are foothills. There are mountains of heights the flatland-pray-er knows not.
