The believing writer is heavenly inspired (on a lower level than Scripture) to pen words with the ultimate power to lift. The unbeliever writer is (sadly) hellishly “inspired” to pen words which lead, slowly or swiftly, downward, ultimately away from God. Absolute neutrality in man’s poetry and prose is a myth – “He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad” (Mat 12.30).
