You may have been called to pastor a church where a leading sheep has a child living in adultery. You don’t want to hurt dad or mom (even if they had a weak stand, it’s not their fault the child is sinning). Nor do you want to (positively or negatively) do that which may hinder the child from getting right with God. You need holy wisdom. Wisdom on how to be friendly, without them thinking you approve. And wisdom how to reach out to them but not in anyway hurt the purity of the church and its message of living above sin.

Jude 3

“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”

Why the earring? Seriously. Why does one (male or female) wear such a thing? If you (wearer or non-wearer) have never answered this question, you should. Was the face so bland, so lacking in character, so dishonest that the wearer “needed” something to cause people to look their way? Surely, the bottom line for the earring (as well as other trinkets sprinkled over the body) is attention. “I so want someone to be look at me that I’ll borrow a stone or piece of metal from the ground so they will.”

Is it all about me?

YOUR NICHE

Jesus had only one Peter in His entire “crew.”

Today? He only has one disciple-just-like-you.

Peter did not cry out to be James or John

Nor should you try to be any-other one

You can DO what no one else can do.

God was first, the very First Gardener.

And millennia later He is still providing dirt in which plants can grow for food, He’s still “giving away” sunshine for nothing, and He’s still sending occasional sprinkles of rich rain. What didn’t He do? In the case of planned gardens, He does not plant them, does not weed them, nor does He harvest them. He does what we cannot do AND allows us to do what we can do.

Sound familiar? (It is similar to salvation.)
