When you choose the world’s Look, Life, and Language you are selecting what is passing, momentary, and soon-not-to-be-junk. Such choices are unwise; they are temporary at-their-longest. When you through heaven’s wisdom and grace, choose the Look, Life, and Language of heaven you get to enjoy those clear conscience choices now, and – – – forever and ever, and ever, and ever afterward.

PERFECT NUMBER

Seven, the perfect number,

A year; from June to June.

Yes, seven years together,

They have passed so soon;

Our time of wedded life,

My time with a good wife.

2

The seven years were perfect?

No, not in every part;

I’ve attempted to correct,

I appreciate a forgiving heart.

God bless you, my wife,

For the best years of my life.

3

Happy Anniversary Dear

On this our perfect year!

Christians have been opposed to addictive substances.

We’ve opposed addictive pornography. When will we admit that the SPORTS WORLD is addictive? Men/women LIVE FOR the “opening” event of THEIR sport. Teams want your ticket money, like packed stadiums, enjoy their names on T-shirts, license-plates etc., in short, are pleased that you’re addicted. Sports have become your god. “I resent that.” Be reasonable. That about which you think soon after awaking or just before sleep, that which has eaten up a sizable chunk of cash, that which you travel to see or are “glued to the tube” for hours – that IS your god. You’re addicted!

Teeter-Totters

Remember teeter-totters?

They were a pleasant part of childhood, allowing unique fellowship. Two of you on the same plank, cooperating, and face to face in talk or laughter. If a parent teeter-tottered with you they had to move toward the center and you about to fall off the far end. God wants to fellowship with us. He (as difficult as it is to grasp) wants to be with us, to have face to “face” time with us – as it were to “teeter-totter” with His small creature. For this to happen He must not-just-move-closer-to-the-center, He must span it. His presence must be on our end as well as His majestic end. I love Him near.

Praise His Name.
