Death of Japanese beetles

Sure death for Japanese beetles. After pinching these pests by hand (both/without cloves) last year I’ve found a solution. A pair of 1” blocks, approx. 2.5” x 2.5” have found a place at my grapevines. I’ve killed many beetles by approaching a leaf without moving it and suddenly clapping the blocks together (1 in right hand, 1 in left hand) with hopefully minimal leaf damage. (I knock the remains off the leaf.) Hopefully the smell of dead comrades is better than commercial traps which, as I read, attract beetles.

Love church or LOVE CHRIST?

You can love going to church and, will be there tomorrow “with bells on.” You can love working on/for the church. You can love the pastor of the church, people of the church, programs of the church, and NEVER be 100% in love with Jesus Christ. Church and churchy connections can “stroke” you carnality. Christ will never do that (be warned, a false “christ” will.) Do you love Jesus? Enough to obey Him (Joh 14.15)?

Are YOU memorizing Scripture?

Probably no generation since the printing of Bibles has had less Scripture memorized than this one. Sadly, this includes professed “christians.” AND – no generation has known more names, faces, and even quotes of sinful actors, ball players, and comedians, etc. than this one, again, including souls who “claim to know” Christ. I beg of you, be a notable exception to this wicked, worldly trend.

Blind? er, what?

Somebody does NOT want you to go to heaven

(his children even occasionally say “go to h_ _ _”). He’ll do anything he can to keep you out, all out of spite to Heaven’s King. SOME ONE else wants you go to heaven and gave His Son to make your entrance possible, as a redeemed soul. Only the blind cannot see this – – – but be encouraged, Jesus touches the blind who ask for His Spiritual healing.
