Little kids make themselves at home. They’ll take a seat, on that fancy couch, un-invited, at your most fastidious aunt’s upper-crust house. Watch them at a wedding move about (& maybe move out) of their “spot.” I recently saw a family pic where the only person seated was a little girl – on the edge of a porch. Christ wants us to be like little children. And He has gone to prepare a place for us. It will be a place where we can sit down, be comfortable, and Make. Ourselves. At. Home.

Ready?

A great while before my memory starts much of evangelicalism and the holiness movement were infected by Darby & Scofield. John Darby didn’t invent “the rapture theory” but he popularized it. Cyrus Scofield incorporated it in his “Scofield Bible.” Darby, though sadly mistaken, appears to have been moral. Scofield lead a life of crime (records of restitutions seem missing), deserted his 1st wife (& daughters) and remarried shortly after she divorced him. The history of the rapture/dispensational crowd is NOT pretty.

HE WILL DELIVER

HE WILL DELIVER

Thy God Whom thou servest continually,

Brother, He will deliver thee,

He will deliver thee,

From the fiery furnace, like the three,

And the shipwreck in the deep,

And will wake thee,

   (If need be)

In the dungeon from thy sleep.

Ten thousand shall fall at they side,

But the plague shall not come nigh thee,

For He will deliver the one that servest Him, continually.

Bible?

What is keeping you from your Bible?

Seriously? You have a Bible (or more). You can read (some of you in 2 tongues). You have the same 24 hours a day that your sainted grandpa, aunt, parent etc. had. God did not arrange it so that you’d miss His illustrious Book but the enemy of your soul is tempting you to omit It or slight It. Are you on God’s side or satan’s?
