There’s a theory that Christ is going to return a 2nd AND 3rd time – it’s not stated that plainly – but the teaching of a secret/silent “rapture” in which saints’ll be swooshed away (they speak of “2 phases”) is #2, and then He’ll come back later to rule, is a 3rd coming. The roots of the rapture theory are not Scriptural, seem to go back to the reformation era, and then be revived by the likes of Darby & Scofield. Nowhere does Christ or any NT writer speak of “2 phases” or a 3rd coming. Be not deceived. – eab, 7/26/17
2# Christ is coming Again – One can believe in His coming without accepting any “rapture theory.”
The secret/silent rapturists emphasize being “…caught up together with them in the clouds…”(1Th4.17) but seem to ignore v.16 (context!) “…Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God…” Is Peter echoing Paul “…the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise…”(2Pe 3.10)? Notice the noises A) Shout, B) Voice, C) Trump are before the catching away. – eab, 7/26/17

Christ warns about DECEPTION: Mat24.4“…Take heed that no man deceive you” Mar13.5“…Take heed lest any man deceive you” Luk21.8“…Take heed that ye be not deceived…” & Paul warns, “Let no man deceive you by any means…”(2Th2.3). These warnings seem more important if the antichrist comes first. (The great Steve Herron said, “The antichrist is not going to say he’s the antichrist”.) And listen to John “…deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles…”Rev13.14 – eab, 7/26/17
4# Christ is coming Again – Obviously I can be mistaken and I’m not un-Christianizing friends who disagree.
Have spent time across several yrs looking at the rapture theory & believe it dangerous. I offer no detailed replacement chart but a warning. If the one-world religious leader comes, convinces millions he’s “christ” & they receive his “mark…name…number…” (Rev13.17) 2 verses make more sense: Mat24.30 “…then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn…” AND Rev1.7 “…every eye shall see him…all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him.” I see a possibility they’ll mourn/wail because they’re damned. – eab,7/26/17
