Do you pray?

Do you pray? For your meals? Good, you should be grateful for “beans & tatters.” A bedtime prayer? Fine, you should thank God for wellbeing in the day’s activities. For “you, your wife, your son John, & his wife”? Right, you should be praying for their safety, salvation, & sanctification. Do you spend time “in God’s presence” adoring, praising, worshipping Father, Son, & Holy Spirit? I encourage you to. Do you pray “…the Lord of the harvest…[to] send forth laborers into His harvest” (Luk10.2)?

Impressed? NOT!

We probably shouldn’t be impressed by how loudly one shouts his hatred for satan. (He may be fooled into thinking those other arms of the octopus are satanic, not dreaming that the arm he’s in is also the devil’s.) Nor should we accept one’s “love” for God by the decibels in which he proclaims it. Actions are still important, very important. Ouch? Amen?

Do not try to straighten out the world; it was crooked before you came & it’ll be crooked after you’re gone. The devil & his cohorts may try to impress you with needs at the ends of earth. He does not want you to be Born Anew, the very best thing you can ever do – for yourself & the world-at-large. When you have the Light of Christ you can share it, one person at a time, & that will have a greater affect than any social cause.

SPARE NOT

Spare not though I may winch

Spare not though I may be hard to convince

Spare not though the human may try to ignore it.

People like to belong.

Kids have tree-house-secret-words or fancy tea parties. Youth join sports teams, debating clubs, etc. Middle- aged people “see” imagined advantages in joining secret societies (with code words, symbols, double meanings). Carnal men & women enjoy being “on the inside;” feeling they’re “somebody.” These are substitutes/evil substitutes for God’s pure plan. YOU can belong to the greatest organization – the body of Christ – and it, friend, will not terminate here, but continue forever Above.
