There was an era when Holiness was fearlessly expounded across the world by Methodist-style churches & some not that “stripe” but who yearned to be holy. This brought resistance. Preachers & people fought against the eradication of carnality; they wanted to retain their pride etc. The preaching of holiness has been somewhat replaced with “feel good about yourself” talks. We need a new “crop” of tell-it-like-is Holiness preachers & we need them Yesterday!

Who Is  Center?

The center of entertainment is man – in song or word.

The center of Worship (strong contrast) is the risen Lord!

Man wants to be seen, wants to be heard;

God is second, if at all.

But worship’s the high goal

Of the worshipping soul.

Every baby should be the product of married love. Sadly too many babies are the product of lust. Sadder still are the babies produced by rape. And most sad are those where a man forced himself on a woman as an act of cruelty: every time she sees the baby she’s reminded of the enemy soldier who planted his seed to be devilish.

– Eddie Rickenbacker, quoted by James Whittaker, /We Thought We Heard the Angels Sing/

The Jews were Jewish because they were born of Jewish blood lines. Christians are Christians because they are regenerated via the Blood of Christ. They may have been Jews, they may have been Gentiles but they’re neither now. They’ve been Born Again! Any “taking on” of either Jewish or Gentile ways indicates a backsliding, a going back toward the OT.

Gal 3.28

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free,

there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Reject any Rite, Ritual, or Religious “regulation” which tends to make you feel spiritually superior. Paul wrote of being “…less than the least of all saints…” not about being better because he practiced this or that. – eab,1/4/18
